Cherry Blossom help please!

We have a large pink cherry blossom in our back garden. When we moved in (winterish time) it was in bloom and we were told that it also flowered around Easter. It did a bit, but not much. I don't know this was due to the strong winds and late snow that we had.

Now we have green leaves on there, but they don't seem to be staying green very long and are browning in an autumnal fashion. Is this what usually happens? Is our tree ok? Can anyone help? (I'll put a pic on later if that helps!)

Cheers

I recently encountered a work colleague eating what she called pearl barley. Having never heard of this I am curious as to what it is and what recipes it can be used with. Any suggestions?

I have no garden but I do have a balcony. It is just dirt and rubbish at the moment however. As outdoors experts, I was wondering if you had any tips to spruce it up?
